Hi all.
I have filed my I-130/I-485. My wife's last name is different from mine. We have been married for 2 years and 5 months now. My last name is my father's first name (Kinda common in South India). So we decided that there is no need to change her last name to match mine.
Will this cause any problems for us during our Interview?
Thanks :)

No, having different last names is quite common in the US, and a personal choice. No one can say anything about that. I recently had my interview and my wife and I dont have the same last name. It was never brought up by the immigration officer. You might be asked by your officer why you did not get it chagned, just be honest. My wife didn't change hers because she wanted to keep part of her heritage, which is fine with me. We did agree that when and if we have kids they'll take my last name. I gotta protect my heritage too.

My wife has a different last name and she wants to change it soon , Would it make a difference if she had a different name during the interview ?
I am also concerned as I seem to be left out with EAD approval . We are now in different states , and I just changed my address . Would that change the DO , or would that change the processing time ?
