USC: Did u apply little too early??

-Green Card approved on 12/12/2000
-Fullfilled the continuous residence as i was out of country only for 80 days during last 4 yr 9 months.
-Mailed the application on 09/12/2005
-According to USPS tracker, application(package) delivered on 09/15/2005.
-Date entered on the application as 09/12/2005

I was under impression that we could apply 3 months before, that is in 4 yr and 9 months. Now after reading the guide carefully(which i should have done before), it says "can be applied 90 days before completing 5 years".

And 90 days is not same as 3 months.

In my case, 90 days early would be 09/15/2005. My question is did i apply little too early? I am a little worried now. Please let me know if it could be an issue.

Wait until you get your notice letter and check the priority date on it. Most probably it will be 9/15/2005. They go by the date it was deliveried. So you will be ok.

Note that the law says 3 months, but internal CIS guideline says 90 days.

Recieved the Reciept on 9/23 and it says PD is 09/15/05, which is good.

Actually the law does day 90 days, not 3 months.

Actually, the law says both...
INA 316 says 3 months, 8CFR316 says 90 days.
I always suggest to use the lesser value, which is almost always 90 days (Feb-Mar-Apr being the exception.)

I recieved my FP notice yesterday. VSC is quicker than i imagined.
My Info again:
App Sent 9/12/05
PD: 09/15/05
FP Mailed Out: 09/28/05
FP recieved on: 10/03/05
FP Scheduled on: 10/15/05.

Hope entire process moves along at this pace.
