I am currently in Toronto, Canada on a canadian visitor visa. I have just been offered a job by a canadian company. My employer has retained the services of an attorney to help me obtain a canadian work visa. The 1st step involves obtaining approval from human resources canada. This is in process right now. When that happens the 2nd step involves me traveling to the closest canadian consulate outside of canada (buffalo,ny,usa) to apply for a work visa. This is a same day process. I need a visa to enter the us. i have a B interview appointment coming up next week. my question is: is it ok to tell the officer that my sole purpose for visiting the us is to apply for a canadian work visa? also what documentation would maximize my chances of securing the visa?
your help will be greatly appreciated.
