US status while in Canada...

Hello,

I currently have a H4 visa, so I am not allowed to work (like TDs). As you probably know, H4 and TD are not even allowed to work from home for a Canadian employer when they are physically present in the US.

However, what is my status when I go to Canada for 2-3 weeks? Can I sign a contract during my stay, get paid from a Canadian employer, and come back on my H4 visa without any problems?

you can do what ever you want when you are outside the US. The US has no juristiction over you when you leave its borders.
