US resident landing in Canada

Just wondering if anyone tried to land in Canada as a US resident? The benefit I see is that if I become a landed immigrate in Canada, it might be faster for my wife to come to Canada than to come to the US.

Will I have a problem when I land in Canada as a US resident?
