Hello All,
I am a US Permanent Resident since a year and a half. I recently got married to a Canadian Citizen. She visited me for a little while and went back as she could only stay in the US for 3 months without a visa. As you know that it takes 5-6 years for a US PR to file and bring his/her spouse into the US, we were wondering if there was any other way for my wife to come to the US legally and stay with me as soon as possible.
Has anyone out there gone through a similar situation? Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for my spouse to get a Work Permit if I file for her Immigration to the US? And if she does get a Work Permit, will she be eligible to stay in the US before the immigration is approved?
Any suggestions or ideas in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
