US marriage

Hi,

I am a US citizen and my finace and soon to be wife lives outside of the US. She already has a 10 years multiple entry B2 visa which she had received even before we met. So, with that background, instead of marrying outside of US, can we get married here in the US and then apply for CR1 while she waits outside of US? I will be going through the proper route of CR1 visa and she will wait back in the home country during the visa process.

You can do that, but a better choice would be the fiancee visa, which would allow her to start living in the US months sooner than with the CR1 visa (although with the fiancee visa there would be more paperwork after entering the US and another interview to complete the green card process).
