My daughter is Australian Citizen going to marry an Indian Citizen working in H1-B visa in April 2021. They want to get green card, what is the best way to go about. If DSV lottery is an option when and where to apply? what else options are? how long it would take to get green card? Happy to get marriage registration either in Australia or in India. Does it make any difference if they are registered for marriage in Australia or in India?
 
If they were born in India they are ineligible for diversity visa regardless of current nationality. If born in Australia she is eligible & he could use that for cross-chargeability after they marry to be eligible too.

Usually H1B route to green card is via employer sponsoring.
