US Green Card want's to visit Canada

Hi,

My cousin has the US GC stamped, but don't have the plastic card yet.Is it safe to travel to canada on this stamp ?.She is planning to drive to canada from detroit.Is it true that, those near the border (when you drive), are not very familiar with this stamp (I-151 ?) and do not think of it as GC plastic card equivalent.

Any feedback or adivce is appreciated.

It is OK to use stamped US GC

I justed went to Canada two weeks ago using the stamped GC on my passport crossing niagara fall border. The lady officer was not so familiar with this stamp, and I explained to her what this stamp is. Sho let us get into Canada.
