US consulate chennai is closed for public on sep 26

I had interview scheduled for sep 26. They moved it to sep 11. My wife called them and asked about it. they told her that they are closed for public as they are doing some admin work on that day.
so i have to change my plans and leave by this weekend

I hope you and your wife had a smooth interview at Chennai. Could you post your CP experience, please? My interview is scheduled for 30-Oct. It would benefit me and other who would be going to chennai for the interview.
