Hello Everybody, my brother is about to be eligible for citizenship this October, and I am intrested in getting my parents sponsored ASAP. I know he can apply 3 months in advance but I was wondering if there is anything else he can do to expedite the process? Can you apply at a center other than the one at your state which is moving faster? Can we take the oath in front of a judge instead of waiting for the ceremony? Which states are know to have the fastest processing times?
Thanks for your help.

i am not sure what kind of reasons you might be able to come up with for "expedite the process".

you sure can apply at a center othe than the one at your state. you just need to live in the state where you are going to file for at least 3 months. and the other rules (pls read other posts and do your researches) might apply.

sure you can take the oath in front of a judge rather than going to the ceremony if your DO allows it.

which states has the fastest processing time? have you checked out the process timeline in uscis?

He needs to become an Olympic figure skater, no other way around it...

On a serious note, he has to file at the center that is in charge of the state he lives in. You can't pick and choose the (dis)service center. Well, you can, if you move to a different state and live there for 3 months before applying. I'm pretty sure it's not worth it considering that there is always a chance that his name check doesn't clear and then it will take who knows how long to complete the whole process.

Multiple Centers

States like Pennsylvania have more than 1 center. So you need to check with any one of the district offices in that particular state if whether they handle your area/zipcode.
