US Citizenship Eligibility

I am a USA permanent resident since 2001 and would like to apply for a citizenship but I am not sure when will I be eligible to apply. I am single rightnow and do not fall into any special categories.

Here's my brief information about stay in USA. I will be really thankful if anyone who can help me to find out the exact date when I can be eligible to apply.

[1] Arrival Date to USA: 6/26/01 Departure Date from USA: 8/14/01 (Received re-entry permit for 2 years)
[2] Arrival Date to USA: 6/17/03 Departure Date from USA: 7/29/03 (Received re-entry permit for 2 years)
[3] Arrival Date to USA: 7/31/05 Departure Date from USA: Continuous stay till today

If you have noticed, I stayed slightly above 2 years between my 2nd trip and 3rd trip. So I am confused that how much of time period I should consider before 7/05 towards my eligibility for naturalization.

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

You would use the 4 years + 1 day rule (a rule that applies when you have been outside the US for a year or more), so you would be eligible on August 1, 2009.

Thanks a lot Jackolantern for your response. I read M-476 and it says that 4 years + 1 day rule applies if I was outside the US for a year or more but not more than 2 years. In my case I stayed outside of USA for 2 years and 2 days. So am I still eligible to consider that 4 year + 1 day rule?????? That's my biggest confusion rightnow. Thanks again for your help on this. I appreciate it.
