US Citizenship Eligibility question

There is a requirement that says that an applicant must have stayed for 3 continuous months in the state he is filing the USC application from. I just returned from a month long trip to India and would complete my 4 years and 9 months from GC next month. Should I wait for full three months before sending the application or this 3 months requirement is for a period of 5 years preceeding the application?

The requirement is to be a resident of the district for at least 3 months prior to submitting your N-400. The term "residency", as used in this instance, is defined as the address where you normally live, and is not affected by short trips abroad.

To be more literal, if you've lived at your current address on your drivers license/state id card for more than 90 days, you're already covered under the 3 month rule.
