Hi, I got my citizenship through assylum. When my son came to US, his passport had a stamp "Asylum status granted". Now we want to get a china visa ( COP). Does anyone have same experience ? If I only give the copy of the passport, I will be asked to explain how we get our citizenship. Thanks very much.
 
You are worried about the asylum notation in your original Chinese passport right? Only give them a photo copy of the page with your name etc. and tell them that you lost the original passport book. Not the best thing to do but may be your only option.

Do you think they would deny the visa application if they found out about your prior asylum status? Remember you are now no longer a Chinese citizen.
