US citizen FINALLY!!!!!!!! (Pittsburgh interview)

Had my interview this morning at 9:30 am. My wife's was before me at 9. Her's went well, then the same officer called me in. Very nice, smiling young guy. He said 'the pressure is on'! (jokingly) and said don't worry, everything looks ok, can you come to an oath ceremony at 2:30 today, ofcourse provided the interview goes well?" I was so happy and said yes ofcourse!

Then we went into his office and I raised my hand...
Then he went over my application and said everything is fine and then said I have to ask you the civic questions now and I'm sure you wont have any problem with those.

I answered them all right, he said congratulations, you passed the interview!
Please come back at 2:30 for the oath. In the meantime you can go to the museum with the kids etc etc, are you familiar with Pittsburgh?

This guy was so nice, I was so impressed. I thanked him profusely, he wished me happy holidays, I did the same!!

My journey of 19 years (F1, H1, GC...) has come to and end and a new phase of my life just began. I am almost numb with excitement!

I thank you EVERYONE on this forum for all the informative posts which helped me a lot!!

I look a lot of documents, piles of papers, the IO just asked fo rmy GC, driver's licence and passport.

Good luck to everyone!

Congrats!!!

You're the second person to get the same day oath.... any idea if it was just luck or if they do it this way now?

were there a lot of ppl at the oath ceremony?

sorry about the typos in my first post. Its just that I'm very excited today. I can't sleep even though I'm very tired!
Its almost like having a child! No one can take it, its yours only yours, a big accomplishment after years of years of hardship and what not!

congrats

hmcis,

Congragulations!!
If I remember correctly wasnt your case an AC21? or changing employers before GC?
Did the IO ask you anythnig about employment history?

yes, it was an AC21 case. I left (was let go for economic hardship of the company) in 2003 and got my GC in 2004 exactly a year after.
No the IO did not ask me ANYTHING about that. Like I said, no question or concern, if fact when he called me into his office, which walking back to go into his office he said 'no worries, I already looked into your appplication, everything is fine'! He was an angel:)

P.S was not asked for the traffic ticket (I took evidence of payment with me), or ANYTING ELSE!! All he did is go over my application, (toc heck spelling of name, date of birth, height etc) and aske me those 6 questions. THAT IS IT!!!
