Hello, I was wondering if you could help me with some information, I am very confused so far. My situation is this: I am an american citizen by birth living abroad ever since I was about 2 years old holding dual citizenship.
I have never worked in the USA and only recently I´ve applied for the ss card. I married a foreigner and now we wish to go to the USA to live permanently. I tried to apply for the GC for my husband I-130 but when filing the petition I was told I had to give a USA address while having domicile in the USA. I´m starting this immigration process abroad.
I don´t have domicile in the USA and and I haven´t got any relatives in the USA who might be able to help me. Only a couple of friends, with whom I´m not very intimate. In my opinion even I could could provide an american address this would pose some issues regarding the affidavit of support, since I have no income form the USA. I know that I should find a joint sponsor but it will be hard who will do this for me? Do I have to have to go to the USA previously and start living before my husband can join me legaly? I don´t wish to go before he gets his permanent residency, and if I can´t find an address and co-sponsor i will have to stay for 3 years in the US before he can get his GC right? Is there another way? 3 years apart is too much.......(to get the tax proof they want)
Please help me with some advice and info.......thanks
