Background:
I landed and living in Canada as PR since 2005. I found out earlier this week that my US green card application was approved and cards are in the mail. I usually travel back to US every few week for a week or so using advance parole.
Questions:
As I am so close to completing my residency requirements for Canadian citizenship (8 months away), I would like to keep by Canadian PR status. Is it possible to keep both US and Canadian PR for eight months?
Plan:
Go back to US in about three months (Sept 2007). Apply for reentry permit and come back to Canada. Stay in Canada for another 6 months and apply for citizenship. Move back to US.
Any thoughts, tips, suggestions?
