Hi guys

I'd like to know if the AVM change the message when the I485 case is assigned to an officer.

Did anybody receive a calling from a Federal governement to talk about your working, studying or any another things? The coming call's phone number is 1-800-871-3215. Does anybody know which government for this number? Where can I find out the office's name just from the phone #?

Hi

The officer wanted to talk with my husband, but he is not home. Cause he changed his job during the I485 pending state. We did not notice INS, and did not receive any RFE requirement. I want to know if we should tell the officer the fact if the officer is calling from INS. I am afraid that our case will be transfered to the local office if we tell the fact. I have not contacted my lawyer.
 
My dear lady now will be the right time to go get the cobwebs off your lawyer's business card.
Ask him if it is the INS what you should say and give the number a call and ask who it is, what it is regarding and if you can schedule an appointment with your husband. In the meantime get the info from the lawyer and if possible have the lawyer present during the call.
If it is the INS. If it is not then it could be the IRS or a hundred different agencies.
Either ways if it is one of the government agencies you need ot respond to it in a timely manner.

I just heard that my friend's friend got a call from INS officer recently. The officer called her directly, not her lawyer, and asked some questions about her I485 petition. She was told that the dialogue would be recorded, and she should answer the questions honestly.

Did anybody receive a call from INS directly?
