Hi ,

I have come to US from s'pore and changed my resume to change my S'pore Exp to USA Experience as that would increase my job chances.

One of the consulting company to whom I said I would join them If I get a job through them.. knows about this and now after I got the job through my present company I told him that I would not join his company.

He is threatening me that he would inform the client that I have changed my resume and would mention that my US exp is not real unless I give him $5/ hr..

Please Advise me what to do .. This is very urgent ..

who changed the resume - you or that company. even if its the company you are partially at fault too but it can be argued well by good lawyers due to harrassment or forceful nature of the employer etc. you are in a very serious trouble. talk to good lawyer immediately.

did he say this over the phone or email? try to communicate with that employer via email from now onwards. DO NOT talk to them in the phone. document everything. eventhough its your mistake that employer is commiting serious fraud and he will surely land in jail and get HIS own greencard cancelled and get deported (ofcourse that employer has to server in jail for his valuable service to this country for sometime before getting deported)

provide detailed facts about your situation. try to avoid your name and that fraud company name.
