Urgent: Work permit and Green card Timeline in Baltimore

Good morning to all,

I just would like someone to give me a timeline for a GC and work permit in Baltimore. I am a US Citizen since June 2005. I had filed a I-130 petition in 2002 and recently requested it to be upgraded.

I have sent the I-485 and I-765 on July 25. Check was cashed on August 02nd 2005 and notices received on August 2nd 2005.

- When do you think she would received a work permit?

- When do you think she would received her Green Card?

Would it be possible for her to receive her Green card or a stamp on her passport in December (2005)?

Any idea or suggestion would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Kaolack.

For time tables you should check out www.uscis.gov in the part of Case Status online and Processing times. (in your right hand of your monitor in little letters). The date's receipt in your NOA's is the one you use for check the processing times.

1. Work permit. In about 90 days after filing (more or less), but first are the fingerprinting and biometrics.(Did you received in the Notice of Action to make an appointment for it?) You first do that before the rest.

2. Check the processing times for I-485 in your DO. General the USCIS says it takes from 8 to 12 months, except like Dallas that has a special pilot program. Is better to make a concept that in a year you probably will have your GC (if there is no problem). There are many factors like FBI name checks or backlog in your DO that can take a longer time to get a GC.

Good luck,
