Urgent: Travel after Initial Interview

Hi,
I have an initial interview scheduled on Feb 12th and need to travel abroad on March 16th. If i am approved (based on marraige to US citizen), will i get the greencard in a month so i can travel?

I have heard that they can stamp your passport after the interview if they want to. Is this easy?

If i am approved and they do not stamp my passport, can i still travel with my AP papers even if i dont have the physical card yet?

Please advise. Thanks so much!

If your interview is approved most likely you will get your physical GC with in a month.

If i am approved and they do not stamp my passport, can i still travel with my AP papers even if i dont have the physical card yet? If you are approved, they will take your AP papers and you can not travel unless you have a I-551 stamp or physical GC in hand.

Please try to find threads on this forum about cases like yours; there have been lots of people with situation like yours.

Please advise. Thanks so much!

I would not count on them stamping your passport if you need to travel. I have friends who have been told even though approved, they do not stamp passports anymore and to wait for their card.
