bhand11683, I have more questions for you about bringing fund when landing in Canada:
(1) Could the fund in US dollars? Or it must be in Canadian dollars?
(2) If it could be in US dollars, since $9,897 Canadian dollars is required, it would be safe if I bring $8,000 US dollars, right?
(3) On CIC website, it says the format could be
"negotiable instruments in bearer form (for example: bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques, money orders.)",
a) does the cheques just mean personal check?
b) I didn't find cashier's check in the list. Is cashier's check acceptable?
Thank you.
