Urgent Question!!! 300 x 300 or 300 x 280 ?

On the Photo Validator it says the Images are 300 x 300.

However..

On the DV2009 Intructions it says -

320 x 240


Which is it?

Both are valid, 300x300 for a scaned paper photo or 320x240 for a new taken digital image.

8 bit, 16 bit or 32 bit?

320x240 won't work. It has to be 240x320 which makes a picture a little stretched.
