A friend of mine just got word that the Venezuelan ministry finally has her police background letter ready for pick up. The catch:
She's in NY and the only possible time for her to leave is tomorrow, December 12th. She can show up at the consulate in Caracas on Friday, December 14th (w/o an appointment bc she already went once and they said that she needed that police antecedents letter). If she doesn't leave tomorrow, she most likely would not be able to leave before next year.
The question: what is the likelihood of visa numbers becoming unavailable for her in January? Her GC is family-based and it's been pending since I believe 2002 or 2003 (if this makes a difference, I'll find out).
