Urgent - Please share any relevant experiences

Hi,

I heard that there might be some criminal charges(misdeamnor) aganist me. My lawyer is in touch with the police department and there is no warrant yet and people who might file charges are not resposnding to any inquiries.

Please advise if this is a good time to go to canada for H1 B stamping. If the warrant is issued when I am in canada would they (embassay or at port of entry) come to know about it..?.

I really appreciate your help.
 
If I were you, I would not take chances of leaving US untill I come to know who, when and how were charges pressed. Without knowing anything if you go and they find out, they are gonna start asking questions and worst case would be you don't know the answer to those questions. However its just me. You have obviously done the right thing my talking to lawyer, just follow his advice and try to get all details before going for stamping and good luck.
