I am filing for the OCI application, for my family, me, wife and daughter.

My daughter is 5 years old, should i put in her right or left thumb impression on PART A..?

it is misleading when i read the chicago application procedure it states

"
Do not sign on behalf of the applicant (including a minor child), in the box near the photograph, in Part A.

Do place thumb impression (Right Thumb for female and Left Thumb for male) in center of the box, if the applicant (including minor child) cannot sign.

· Do not place both, signature and thumb impression in the box. It should contain either signature or thumb impression of the applicant.

"

But in the actual PART A printed it states Left Thumb impression for Minor.

Please Help I need to file fast and this is holding me up..

Kind Regards

Looks like what the actual Part A says is correct. The SFO instructions are: (g) The signature of the applicant should be WITHIN AND IN THE CENTER of the Signature box of Part A of the OCI Application form. For children who cannot sign or write their name, left hand THUMB IMPRESSION must be put within the signature box. Make sure it is DARK PRINT. Parents should not sign for children in the signature box. See http://www.cgisf.org/oc/oci_instructions.html
