Urgent - Please Help

Hello All

Sorry to post in this thread, but the H1B thread didn't help me much! Please help!

My friends Father passed away this morning. He is travelling this afternoon to INDIA, his H1B was approved for 7th Year past thursday (he hasn't received a Approval notice).

Questions:
1. Can he travel without a H1B Approval Notice and someone can mail him later?
2. What documents he needs take for Visa stamping in Mumbai, any experiences in Mumbai e.g. time frame, interviews, etc.

You should be able to mail him the approval notice that can be used for getting visa.
For visa he needs- all documents- that were needed/submitted to apply for H1-> Company docs +offer letter etc. Also current paystubs and current employment letter from company+ IRS returns etc etc .
