What does it mean? Last month I received a email saying they sent out a notice requesting additional infomation, but a month past, I haven't received the notice yet. I called National customer service center, they said my case was handled by TSC, they have no record. And Texas service center has no phone number to call, I am still trying to figure out what to do and today I received this email. I really don't know what's going on. Don't know if it is bad or good news. Does anybody have this experience before? Your help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

Really? But I haven't done the request for additional information yet.( actually I haven't figure out a way to get that notice yet). Do i still need to provide the documents?

If I was approved, God, thank you, thanks everybody here.

My time line is:

2002 Granted.
11/2003 ND
11/05 Transfered to TSC
11/05 RFE done 1/06
2/06 bio code 3 done 3/06
3/21/06 additional information
4/24 receive email

WZ what does it mean you haven't done request for additional documents. You listed a date of 11/05 RFE done 1/06 isn't that it? Request for additional documents? What are you expecting to do? You had your medical at one point or another? Right?

I did the medical, but they sent another notice on March'06 requesting additional infomation. That's what I mean.

wzl2006,

It means your I-485 application is approved. Congratulations.
It is a bit strange that you received your RFI in March and before you mailed it back, they approved your case.

Congratulations again.

Mr. Congratulations: I think you are approved. Also you need to call the 1800 and follow up the request for evidence. If you have not got it, you need to ask them to resend it. That is what they can do the best. Also in some cases what happens is for some certain lucky individuals they recieve RFE and get approval. They may send you the welcome notice, but withhold the actual greencard until you do the RFE, which is in may ways BIO or medical. Once you do it they will send you your greencard....Good luck

faysal, Last week I called the 1-800 number, one representative told me she can not do anything, because my case was handled by TSC. But I can try to write to TSC to request the letter to be resent.
Today I called again, another person said she saw my case was approved and will be receiving notice soon. I talked to a lawer, he suggest to wait. I am really confused. I want to have the notice and also I don't want to ruin the approval. What if I request the notice, they found out I haven't done that yet and then cancel my approval? Oh, man. I guess I worried too much. But, thank you for your help.

Thanks everybody here for all the information and help.

If I were you, I would do a Infopass in regards to the RFE you were worried about (by the way can you post that email? I am curious about its wording). I think you are definitely approved. But it could be that the email you received in regards to RFE MAY have been a computer glitch; after all you never received the actual notice. I mean if you did not have internet or did not sign up for INS's email-notification sevice, you would have no idea that such RFE would be requested from you because you never got it in actual mail; it was just via email.... Or maybe it was a mistake on their part; maybe they attempted to send you a RFE but then realized that they do not need to and proceeded to approve you. If you have time, I suggest you make an InfoPass. But if you do not have time, then just wait to receive your welcome notice in the mail and if the GC follows it two weeks later or so, then forget about the RFE business and enjoy your GC. That is my two cents.

You have nothing to worry. I have seen many individuals in your same situations. They will not cancel your approval, but you will not get the plastic greencard until you do the RFE. Any way if you are approved, you have nothing to worry. Only congress can cancell your greencard. The officer who approved you can not cancel your greencard. Make sure that your address with the USCIS is correct and sleep in peace . Enjoy your new freedom...I am sure the RFE will show up..and It is gonna be BIO or stuff like that..Good luck

Mr. wantmygcnow you said, "Faysal can you elaborate as to what you mean by this?" This is very good good question. There are of course many ways Greencard approval can be revoked. My statement was just to give our colleague a peace of mind and that he does not need to worry.

You said, "I dont think thats true.." I think think this un necesarry comment. Your first question was enough.
You said, "Lets not misinform people out there.." This is also an unnecesarry deliberate attack on my intension. I didn't mean to mis inform. My whole purpose was to tell our colleague that he is permenant resident, and that his greencard can be revoked only through the procedures that other greencards can be revoked. Also, I know that his greedcard approval will be conditional. For example, the approval letter he will get will say that he is approved but needs to do REF for final approval. I have seen many cases like this....

Final note. Want. I know you are very valuable member on this forum. You have provided many valuable insights; however, I am disappointed that you have picked me on unnecesary fight here. If you read the thread carefully, I have given the guys pretty good advice. Among the many words you have taken only one line which may be accurate or not and whose mistake and accuracy is not important here. Any I really respect you, and if you find my statement wront please go easy on me......don't hit me hard...

Faysal,

Taking comments out of the context has been "His Highness's" trademark. What value are you refering to? All of his "fu fu" is not legal advise and he is not a qualified legal expert.

By responding, you are giving him the pleasure he so "desprately" seeks. I have never seen such a nosey and insecure individual in my life.

huch :D

Thank you guys for all your information and support. I will wait till the notice coming in to see what it says and then decide what to do.

Clotty, this is the email I received last time.

Huchub: I see your point, but we need to make the forum as pleasant as possible. We are not lawyers, but we give one another a valuable insights. What we say here must not be true, but a helpful hint through which other people can learn and work through. Immigration law is so complex that even trained IO don't know all the laws. Therefore, we should respect one another. No unnecesarry fight here................We should pick our fights wisely.......HUchub; thanks again for you comments and understanding..

Huchub, did you have another username before? Because it seems you have a personal beef with want and I wonder if you changed usernames since this one only has 9 posts under your name. But that said , your personal attack at him was unnecessary and uncalled for. He did not do anything to provoke you to call him "nosey and insecure". If you disagree with him, fine, but refrain from name-calling and getting personal.

Clotty,

I have many names, boy personal beef with want is not how I see it. I have been watching this forum for many years, you and many others are relatively new.

Every thread and subject does not require or need my comments, unlike "His Highness" Jimmy. My time is much valuable, I don't act like a lawyer nor an authoritarian dictator.

Infact, I left his tendency of supoorting deceptive practice out. Clotty, do you know anything about freedom of speech? I do, and that's what I have done.

Huch :D

Faysal,

No offense. I just was questioning your statement that "only congress" can revoke you g.c.

Apologize for any attacks you thought I made on you.
