Urgent Please Advise

Me and my wife have applied for my 2nd EAD with ND: Jun 25, 2004. My first EAD expires on 12/5/2004. I'm leaving to India on Nov 13th, and returning on Dec 6th. I have tried to take an info pass to go the local(Charlotte) office to get an interim EAD as it has been beyond 90 days, but the appointment date I got is Nov 17th.

Question:
1) Can I go to the office before Nov 13th and tell them that I have to go to India on Nov 13th, but I could not get any appointment before 17th? I'm planning on taking my tickets also as proof.
Will they let me in?

You should try! I have seen in many posts that if you have a good reason to show up before your appointment they usually let you in.

Find out what is the slowest day at your local office and go that day. This will increase the chance of being allowed. Ge confident when talking to the guy at the front door.

IF you go early morning there is a chance you will get it, When i went there i saw lot of people got it without appointments.
 
Got my EAD at Charlotte DHS

I have taken two info appointments for me and my wife for nov 9th Tuesday, to talk to an officer(which was the only available category that day, and I thought that I can ask for my EAD, coz all I wanted was to sneek into the building) and went there, but after talking to the officer inside he said that EAD's at charlotte office are done only on wednesdays.
I expalined to him that I have to leave on 13th and the first available wednesday was the 17th. Then he said take an appointment after you come back. Then I told him but my EAD expires a day before I return, then he said after my return I may not able to work legally, but it is totally between me and my employer, and it is at employers discretion.

Then I asked him if I can get an appointment for Nov 10th(which was already full booked), to which he told me to keep trying online, and I might have a chance if someone cancels it fortunately, later that evening I got 2 appointments for 10th, and me and my wife went today and got the EAD card.

Advise: Please do not try to go without an info pass, it is total waste of time. Coz, they are turning people back from the door. No excuses. And even if you manage to sneek in, the officer at the token counter does not give you a token without the appointment. And please take the print out of the info pass.

For PP stamping any day except Wednesday.
EAD only Wednesday.
