Urgent Pcc Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all,

I have an upcoming CP interview in london

I am a british citizen and my spouse an indian citizen (with indefinate leave in UK).

We have police clearance certificates from UK for both of us, where we both lived for 3 years after marriage.

I am H1B now and my spouse H4.

Does my spouse need any PCC from India?

Please help if you can.

She would need a PCC for her stay in India. She will have to
approach the nearest Indian Consulate/Embassy and apply
for this. Normally it takes 40 to 45 days for the PCC to be
issued.

You will find all the information in website of the respective
Consulate.

Thanks for the reply.

Here's my problem, my CP interview is in 3 weeks.

I can get a PCC from the local police station in India.

The consulate are taking 40-45 days (as you said). I would get the PCC after my interview finishes!!

What should I do?

If your wife's Passport has been issued by a Consulate in US,
then they will issue a PCC within a week's time.

Otherwise, the time I mentioned holds. I don't know whether it
would work, but there is one thing you can do.

* Go to the nearest Indian Consulate and apply for the PCC.

* Get the case number ( I don't know when they generate this!)

* With this case number, ask someone you know in India to go
to the Passport office (where her PP was issued ) and somehow
make the office respond back to the Consualte quickly!

* On receipt of this response from the PP office, the Consulate
can issue the PCC.

You have waited far too long before attacking this issue.

PCC Validity Period

Hi Raju,
Can you please tell me how long is the PCC valid for? Does it depend on which country it is from?

I cannot speak for other countries, but the PCC obtained from
Indian Consulates is currently having a validity of 6 months
from the date of issue.
