URGENT: Passport question (for stamping)

I have my first h1b stamping appointment in chennai on 10th (F-1 OPT ->H1)

Now, I have an old passport that has expired back in early98 and I have the new passport.

Do I have to submit the old passsport also with the new One at the counter in the consulate.

The old passport has some visa for saudi arabia stamped because I was there
when my father was working in saudi back 1988 to 93.

I am thinking I'll give the NEW one at the coutner & keep the old one with me, and give if asked for it. ?
CAN someone pl. share ur view. I am leaving today.

I am thinking to submit both passports together.
When I was 11 to 15 yr old, I was in another country (saudi) because my dad was working there... thats all.
 
hi,

u can staple both passports if u want. i checked it with the chicago consulate for india. u dont want to get into the hassle of them asking u the other passport. make it easy for them.
