Hello folks!
I hold an L1 A-visa from India which got expired in May 2006. I applied for my I-94 extension in Jun 2006 which I got it approved in Oct 2006 but never received my approval letter from USCIS. My company again applied for Form I-824 to request further action on an approved application and to send the duplicate copy. Now the problem is that my wife has already left for India since she got her approval letter in Oct 2006 itself and thinking I will join her in early Jan 2007 without even realizing that my original approval letter might get lost somewhere and duplicate will take another couple of months. I have already booked my tickets and have taken appointment in India for my visa re-stamping.
Has anyone got any suggestions on how can I expediate this whole process. I am really under serious time crunch and would need my approval letter before 1st week of Jan 2007. But as per USCIS, I-824's current processing time is Jun 2006? How can I get my duplicate letter ASAP from USCIS as my original approval case is already being approved?
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated?
Ur answers would definitely pacify me in some ways.
