hi im an engineering student and hav been selected for an international design contest by IEEE. IEEE sponsors for the trip and the stay food there. ill be going to the US only for a week. do i need to show proof of my personal assets or is the letter from IEEE stating they are sponsoring the whole trip enough..?

Offcourse, you HAVE to show your personal assets as well as financial status..

The Logic is simple, the consulate believes that IEEE is well reputed for sponcering you, but the consulate does not believe that you have a legitimate intend of comming back.

Yours Family ties,
Yours Personal Assets,
Your Job, Salary letter, Time lenth of Job, weather perm or temp. Leave of Absence letter etc is need.
And the most important reason that why IEEE
