Hi,
I am going to Tijuana, Mexico for a F1-H1 visa stamping. I dont have my W2 that I filed last year as a student. I only have the ones I filed this year, in my H1. Is this a problem? If yes, can somebody suggest how to get a copy of my last year's W2. I've my apppointment on May 2. So, please respond ASAP.

Also, the following are the documents I'll be taking with me. Is there any thing else to be added to this list? Please advise.
1.DS156
2.DS157
3.Passport
4.I-129 and other related documents like labour certificate etc.
5.Photographs-2
6.This year's W2
7.Recent 3 or 4 paystubs
8.Employer Letter
9.Original Degree certificates.

I'd greatly appreciate your help.

it is not a must, but they might ask you. It's most commonly asked document. You can contact IRS (irs.gov) and they can give you transcript of your tax return for any year, also you can contact your employer whom you worked for, he should have a copy of that W-2.

To Priyanka...

Hi Priyanka,
This is in response to one of your earlier posts regarding any additonal documentation that
one may need to carry for H1B revalidation at the consulate in Tijuana, Mexico.
If you are working for a consulting company and currently placed at a client's site, it
may help if you take a few pictures of the client site (such as the building, your co-workers etc.),
a letter from the client explaining your duties and that you are currently working for them.
I remember a few people mentioning to me that they were carrying these additional paperwork
while going to Tijuana. However, I don't think they were asked to provide these documents
at the consulate. Any way, it does you no harm if you carry these.

BTW, I am going to Tijuana too, so we could share a few useful information if that is
ok with you. Also, I understand you were planning on getting information regarding the permit.
Do you have any updates?
My email id is psvraghavan@yahoo.com. Would appreciate if you can email me please...
Thanks!
