Hi All,
I have a NY drivers licence, The expiry on the licence is August 2008, how ever by rule the NY licence has a statement printed "Temporary Visitor STSTUS EXP . 07-01-2006, this date in july is when my first term of 3 yrs is completed on my H1B. I have already applied for my extension except that the approval has not yet come. I moved to PA now but am unable to renew my licence because they need to see proof of visa for atleast 6 months (approval notice) in order to change my Drivers licence.
My question is this
Can i drive based on August 2008 licence expiry, or do i have to get my licence renewed before the Temporary visitor status exp date printed on my licence.
really appreciate your input in the matter. a quick reponse would be great.
