Hi,

I am almost ready to submit my green card application through marriage, I just had one last question about including the documents?

1. Should I attach the documents to any of the specific form or just include them in the envelope? For e.g. just include all documents (birth certs, pictures, medical document, irs transcripts ) in the envelope and they will sort them out themselves?

2. I have included a copy of birth certificates for myself and my wife, are these ok or do I need to get official copy from the vital records department stamped? I have photo copies of the official birth certificates, is this ok?

3. Do I need to include a copy of my passport page for filing my I-485?

4. I have IRS transcripts, should I include all 3 years or just the latest year of the transcript would be fine?

5. I have made a photocopy of the marriage certificate to include with the applications, would this be fine or do I need to obtain a official copy from the marriage registrar's office?

Any help would be appreciated.

Another question I had, how do I organize the documents in the envelope? Should I just paper clip the applications with multiple pages or staple them and just put them in the envelope in whatever order?

Do I need to include any Evidence of a Bonifide Marriage? I only a apartment lease signed with both of our names.

One last question.

How many passport size photos do we need to include altogether for I-130,131,765,864,485 applications? Is it alright if the photos were taken more then 30 days ago, I had them taken 5 months ago when I was suppose to file the papers orignally but due to some delays we had to postpone the filing, now we are ready to file, is it okay to include the pictures that were taken 5 months ago? Would they find out or care about it? Should I put the pictures in a little envelop of their own?

Also what will the total filing fee be for all these documents? $1070 + $420? Should I be submitting original documents (birth certificates, marriage certificates) as I read somewhere on the internet?

I have 8 photos of me and 4 of her (my wife is the US citizen filing for me), is that all thats necessary or more are needed?

You got married in 2009, started a thread in June 2010, and you're still asking these questions? You're confused and you need to consult an immigration lawyer ASAP, or your confusion will lead to some costly mistakes and more delays.

Hey Jackolantern,

Thanks, I wasn't confused I just couldn't find anyone to submit the affadavit of support so I had to wait until we had 3 years of taxes since she does meet the requirement for the income. So it wasn't all confusion, I just have some last remaining questions before I submit the application.

1. How many pictures? Are the pictures from november fine to be submitted?

2. The documents, are photocopies ok? I can take the originals with me to the interview.

3. Should I just shove everything in the envelope and send it out with the money/order check? Or should I put everything in a certain order including the documents?

4. Should I staple the multiple page applications together or paper clip them?

5. Should I include any cover letters or is that unnecessary?

That's all I need to know, I've gone over the checklist multiple times and I'm pretty sure I've got everything covered, I included photocopies of all the requested documents.

I would appreciate the help thank you.

1. If you mean passport photographs, then for the I-130, you have to submit one for the petitioner (USC) and one for the beneficiary. For I-485, 2 copies for the beneficiary and none for the petitoner. If you apply for I-765, do the same as in the case for I-485. Remember to put name and SSN at the back of the photo.

2.Yes never submit original unless requested.

3. Seperate each forms with the attaching document with a paper clip i.e. Using paper clip, attach form I-130 with supporting documents together, attach form I-485 with supporting documents together etc. and put everything in an envelope, probably the courier company envelope

4. Use paper clip

5. Thats your decision but you want to make your application look organised and easy to access. Plus it will serve as your checklist.

NOTE: Refer to instructions on the forms if you still unsure.

So how many photos in total? And do I attach the photos to each application or should I just include all of them in a envelope?

So I should paper clip each required document to the application?

And the total amount I will attach a check for $1070 + $480? That's it right for the entire package?
