Guys......

I need some advice.....

I applied for my F1 visa which were rejected twice in Nov2002.

I am a Chartered Accountant by profession and work with a multinational in India.

Now I have got a genuine job offer from USA from a not very big Co in USA. They are ready to do my H1....though I will be the 1st person to be on H1 in their Company. I will be working as an accountant .

I would like to know whether there will be any issues while H1 stamping at Mumbai Consulate, considering that my F1 visas are rejected twice.

Also please share with me if you guys have any experience with
H1 stamping in Mumbai Consulate in recent past.

Whats are the chances of my application getting denied/ rejected.

Also tell me if an interview will be required ?

I know some people who got their H1 approved even though they had F1 rejections previously. But they might try to review your application more carefully because of previous rejections.

But you should be OK as long as you can present all the required documents for H1 visa. Basically H1 can only rejected if there is any fraud involved or if any wrong documents submitted.

i got my F1 rejected and my h1b refused. Still i applied for h1b (once more) and got it approved.

I know this is off topic. You would be better off in India as a CA since you will have solid pay and an opportunity to grow fast. If you are moving to the US as an accountant and if you are in a big city, you will need 80k to be live well. In smaller towns, 60k would suffice. 40k is survival if you need to live in a good area and enjoy a bit. So, do your home work. You can always give US a try and maybe go back if you ain't happy. Good luck!

My F1 was rejected in 93.
Applied for h1b visa at singapore(97). Consulate refused to issue visa and asked me to apply at chennai as my education & experiences were from india and the application was forwarded to chennai. After 3 weeks i applied in chennai and got the visa.(counter visa..that is... no interview)

Hope this helps.
