I relocated 1 year after my LC was filed in 2001 within the same company same job. I informed USCIS about the address change. Now they have called me for AOS interview, the interview notice came 120 days after AOS filing. Lawyer is saying I am not portable as my AOS interview notice has come before 180 days, so I will have to move to old location (LC filing location), my company does not want to move me there.
What do I do - how do I explain the relocation during the interview. If anybody has experienced similar problem please help.
