Hello
Could you please guide me?
I have an interview on this wednesday. I had been living at my brother's home at area code 60133, when I filled N-400. I received a job during the same time at the area code 61614 (2-3 hours far from there, same state though). I have been living here since 1 year. I still haven't done the change of address at post office and kept my mailing address same as the previous one(60133). Will officer ask me about my current address? What should I reply?
In the AR-11 there is only 2 things, Current Address and Previous address. But, for me both are current addresses, and my previous (60133) address is my mailing address also.
Could you please guide me by tomorrow?
Thanks,

Shouldnt be a problem. Just make sure you take enough documentation to prove you indeed did live @ 60133
(drivers license, utility bills, bank statements etc.)

Since both addresses are in the same state and its not a made-up address, BCIS shouldnt care for naturalization purposes. Purpose for AR-11 is BCIS is to get a hold of you if they need to - so shouldnt pose much of a problem. However make sure you answer any questions truthfully if asked about why you didnt update your address.

Thank You Joef and MGH

Thank you both of you. As I do not have any other choice now, as MGH told, I will gather all the proofs of my residence(previous) and everything else, I will leave on GOD.

Thank you guys. I will let you know about my results.

My experience

Hello Joef and mgh,

I went for citizenship interview yesterday. I told about my temporary address which I have not informed to INS. The officer told me that as long as I maintain my old address as a point of contact, that's all they want. So, that was easy. In chicago it normally takes 6-8 weeks for getting oath, so I need to wait. Any idea about second security check? Why does it take longer now a days for oath? One INS officer looked into my file 3 months ago and told me that it would take 3 months for interview and another 6 months for oath because of the second security check?
Thank you.

Ketpin,

So, did you get a letter after the interview that your case
is approved?

Did this officer ask you any questions about traffic tickets?

Thanks

Traffic tickets? No

Hello Samp,

Yes, I got a letter saying I passed the test and the officer recommends me for being a citizen. So, I need to wait for the oath. I received total 6 traffic tickets in 6 years, but he did not ask me anything about it. So, as long as you paid the tickets and it is not DUI, don't worry.
Good luck.
