Urgent help regarding a second RFE

Our 485 application has been pending since March \'00 and we had received a RFE in May \'01 and replied June \'01 but the AVM was not updated until two days ago and the message indicates another RFE dated Sept. My lawyer\'s office feels that that could just be a transfer of case because our company had split up the consulting division and the lawyer mentioned that another person\'s case was transferred to the local office. My question is: Is a transfer of case notified as a RFE on the AVM? I have not yet received the details on this RFE and my lawyer is going to call and ask.

Our first RFE was the usual about employment letter, Birst Certificate affidavits etc and we had comprehensive paper trail to cover that RFE.

Any feedback and shared experiences will be mostly appreciated.

RFE\'s ...

You should get transefer of case to local off on AVM too if it was transefrred at all ... what was your first RFE about - what about affidavits ? and also birth cert ? pl elaborate in more details ...
is it possible that the sec RFE was also based on the first one ..?
 
Second rfe

The first rfe was about employment verification and birth certificate affidavits for spouse. That was in May 01 and replied June 01. No AVM updates until Sep. 01 and now the update states that a rfe dated Sep. 01 has been sent. My employer had changed name because the company had split the consulting group into a new company. The lawyer felt it may likely be a transfer (based on another case from the same company that did get transferred). The lawyer did not care about what the AVM says or whether it mentioned a transfer. WHen I said that the message says rfe, the lawyer said that is still good that it is moving and let us see what they want and submit it and get it over. I was told that there is no reason for concern or worry. The lawyer is capable of calling and getting the information on the rfe in a day or two.

My concern is that the original receipt date was Mar 00 and it will be about 530 days in Sep 01 (which is close to the original estimated time on the notice). I am concerned about a second rfe so late in the process when I should be expecting an approval. Should I be concerned?
 
Could you let me know what happened to your case if you are still active on this thread?

Did the company split affect you case?
