Anyone can help me answer this question:
Does INS always cash the check for application fee right after they receive the package?
I filed my I-485 March 9, 2001 and there is no receipt till now. I finally found out from my employer (they paid for the application fee) that the check for application fee has not been cashed yet.
Anyone has paid there fees with personal check and paid attention to when it was cashed?
I remember most of the time, since the check will expire after certain days, they always cash it right away and even before they start to work on it. So, it is a good indicator that at least they got the package.
In my case, does it indicate that either they have never got it or they lost the case even before they cash the moeny?
Anyway to contact INS without a receipt number nor A number?
