Urgent Help ... only 3 days for deadline .. Employer pressure

Dear Friends ..

I am in a tough time .. need to make a decision ASAP.
I have been in L1B from July,2002 for Company A. I have valid L1 visa till April 2007.

I applied for H1B thru Company B & got approved with a new I-94.
Company B says that this new I-94 has superseded the exisiting L1 & I need to join him & start working from Oct 1st 2006. However, in my client side i have commitment till Dec 2006 & right now I am not in a position to jump & hunt for job (with the burden of family here) .. so I want to defer joining date till December ... Company B says that u can do this by :

1. applying for an amendment - will take months & lot of money
2. going out of country & coming back in L1 .. then when u join him, need to go for H1 stamping to India / canada .. - this is cumbersome & risky for me to fly with my family

Some of my friends say that they have people who have joined late .. like after 2 months or even 4 months in 1 case. Is there a possibility that I can do the same .. just stick with my Company A till Dec 3rd week & then move to Company B .. without leaving country ?? If I do that what is the problem which can come later .. query while GC ?

After that, what shld be the least time I shld wait to get enough payslips to go for H1 stamping outside US .. like Mexico ?

I really need a reply friend .. it is eating my brain ... as I am definitely not ready to switch now .. & just want a simple solution.

Talk to lawyer... there are many cases where people have joined late without any issues. Better take advise on personal case.... it does not cost much
