We applied I485 excluding my son on Aug 2001and completed the fingerprinting & waiting for for our approval .We applied I- 485 for our son(age 6years) in the month of Jan 2002.I want to know Once we got the GC approval, Will my son will also get approval along with us or we have to wait till his GC approval.Is there any way if he wants to go to India once we got the GC & his still pending status. pl share if anybody is under same situation .

My friend is in similar situation. He got married 5 months after applying for 485. Later he added his wife to his application. He got appoved in January 2002. However his wife\'s case is still pending. IIO says somehow the files were not linked so they did not got approved together.

I think your son will get the GC a little later (thats a little crude to say the least). As for going out of USA, I suppose you just need to get the AP for your kid if by that time rest of the family got theGC approved.Ofcourse that means you need to come back for getting his pp stamped.
