I'm not sure which forum I should post this question, please help if someone has seen similar situation...

My brothers F1 visa ( Not sure what visa type) I know it is students visa he got his I-20 from a University here) was rejected at the Chennai consulate, saying that he didn't get any AID for his studies and that the fees is very high.

My question is can he re-apply, iF so what can he do now..??
Is there any Agency who can help him out..

Thanks in Advance..

NSC_Indian,
Having been a student here myself, I know what your brother is going through. I dont know that the latest procedures are... but I would suggest that he would have to come up with a way of showing that he can finance his studies..this is actually one of the most important pieces of a student visa application...was he not aware of this???

Rastamandrum

Actually we had shown that we have (i.e my parents) finance to sponser his studies..
What else can we do.. CAn he re-submit for stamping

Thanks

reapply

Reapply with the documents showing the assets. Try to show more asset in his name which will show that he has ties to the motherland and will return after the studies.

I know a case who applied twice, rejected, applied third time (allowed only by mail) and got the visa!

Well, there is also a case who applied for US student visa, got rejected, tried Australia, got the visa, studied there, and came to US on H-1!

Don't give up!
