I have worked for company A in 2000 and took a long break and came to US on company B visa, which I presume, I can continue to stay in this country for another 6 years. Now I would like to transfer my visa, but the problem is they are asking for not only the company B's visa approval notice also the company A's too, which I seems to have misplaced. How mandatory the previous visa approvals are during the H1 transfer? Is there a provision to substitute in place of previous visa approval notice(like visa stamping, experience letters)? or is it possible to request a duplicate copy from INS providing the LIN or EAC number(obviously that visa got expired in Dec 2002)? I am really really in need of a quick answer here. Hope you would understand the situation and do the needful.
