URGENT help needed with validity of fingerprinting

Need advice from anyone with experience or knowledge of fingerprinting.

My 485 case was approved by the VSC in Mar, but my wife's case was transferred to the Chicago local office. She did her last fingerprinting on July 8, 2004. Her interview date is Sep 21, 2005. She has not received a fingerprinting notice from the USCIS.

1. Does she need to get another fingerprinting done if we want her fingerprints to be valid on the day of the interview?

2. Irrespective of your response to #1 above, can she go to the fingerprinting office and get fingerprinted again even though she has not received a notice for another fingerprinting?

Please let me know as we are very keen that her case get approved on the day of her interview. Thanks in advance,

1. Fingerprints are usually valid for 12-15 months, and depending on the case, the USCIS may require them. USCIS will issue a notice, if they want a fresh set of fingerprints.
2. Without an authorized notice, she can not just walk-in and give them the fingerprints. USCIS won't allow this.

As you are approved as principal applicant, no need to worry getting your wife's case approved. Hopefully this helps.
