Urgent Help Needed -- VSC NIW RFE Received

Hi,

I got a RFE due to the incompetence of my lawyer. I want to fire him and file the RFE by myself. But currently the lawyer has all the materials and correspondence. Could someone tell me how to get my materials back and how to let USCIS know to contact me directly going forward?

Also if I file the RFE myself, what's the best way to proceed?

What is your RFE about? Depending upon that you can decide. You could choose to answer it yourself to the best of your ability and/or make use of the many DIY-RFE kits floating on the web. Some lawyers don't charge extra for creating the RFE response, some do.

If you choose to answer it yourself, you'll need to request your lawyer to send you the correspondence. Good luck.
 
lawyer know how to do, just sometime too lazy. You need to push him. My lawyer also didn't make me happy first time, he didn't ask me to request independent letter, so my 7 letters from my close circule, and he didn't argure how to do with labor certification. Now RFE coming, I want to fire him, but after talking, I found he do understand this, know how to fight this more than me, he gave me some ideas I never heard about, and reasonable. so, I pick up confidence with him, just pushing hard until last day. Could you please provide more details about your case?

I have a friend who changed his lawyer in RFE response. He filed new G-28 form at the same time with RFE and also attched a letter of explanation.

By the way, you mentioned earlier that the LUD was 5/26. When did the online status change to RFE ? And when did you actually receive the RFE letter?

Thank you very much for your information! In the RFE, I was asked to provide form ETA-750B (which my lawyer said was not needed when my application was filed :mad: ) and evidence for waiving labor process.

The online status changed on 6/7 for the RFE. Since the letter was sent to my lawyer directly, I don't really know when he received it.

Can I ask how your friend replied his/her RFE? How did he/she explain the situation?
