Urgent help! Interview letter received

Today I received interview letter for my mom's GC case. Is it normal to be interviewed? What documents should I bring to the interview?

I am only sponsoring my mom this time, is it the reason they interview us?
What should I tell them about my dad?

Some parents go to the interview, some don't. Depends on luck I guess (and complication of the case). But from what I know the parents interviews are the easiest. So just take it easy and take all original docs you submitted with you to the interview. Also you may want to consider the translator if your mom doesn't speak English. Some officers are OK if YOU translate, but some are not so much OK (I know the cases when it was rescheduled).

They open a new office in boston. They want to process cases. Oh well, that speeds up.
