Urgent help/info needed: Marriage after CP, chennai

Hi..

I am hoping one of you gurus can help me..

I appeared for my CP interview at Chennai in dec.. and have not returned to the US yet. I was planning to get married before I left, but my fiance is now unfortunately stuck in Dubai for a few weeks, and I cannot extend my vacation.

so, is it ok if I get registered married in dubai, come back to chennai, inform the consulate, and leave for the US? Will the US consulate recognize the marriage cert from Dubai as legal?

I am in a quandry.. and any help/advice would be really appreciated.

and the consulate will take the certificate into consideration.

Hope you have your fiancee name in the information sent to consulate

You both will have to appear for the interview

I would suggest you check with the consulate regarding validity of a marriage conducted in a foreign country, giving your specific details. I had checked for US and they said that is fine as long as we were both legally resident in US and completed all formalities needed by the local law (in US).
