Urgent Help! Going to start using EAD instead of H1B..

Hi All

I am currently working with my employer on H1B visa. This company filed my GC and my 485 is pending for more than 8 months now. I want to change to a new employer using my EAD using AC21.

Do I have to do something to start working on EAD instead of H1B visa?

You may want to do a couple of things. First, make sure that the new job is "substantially similar" - check AC21 related postings, there is plenty of information.

Second, if you used attorney hired by your company, you may want to change your attorney so that if you receive any RFEs, they come to your new attorney and not the old one, who may not be interested in helping you any more. Note that yo do not have to hire a new attorney, you can list yourself to receive any RFEs, but, obviously, having an attorney has its advantages.
